I have always been drawn to help people facing challenging circumstances. Attending law school at LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center, my interest in serving the “underdog” was reinforced through volunteer work with the Louisiana Civil Justice Center, Baton Rouge Office of the Public Defender, and various other organizations. At my graduation in 2010, I was among a small group of students recognized for having performed more than 100 hours of pro bono work during law school, for individuals who could not afford to hire attorneys.

My post-graduation legal career began with a term as a law clerk for a district court judge, allowing me valuable insight behind the scenes of the judicial process, and strengthening my foundation as an attorney. After my clerkship, I moved to Texas and practiced criminal defense, again working to protect the rights of people in difficult situations. Seeking to expand my knowledge and broaden my experience, I later stepped away from law to gain “real-world” business experience. In business, I honed skills in strategy, creative problem-solving, and negotiation, and developed a deep understanding of what drives decision-making in individuals and organizations. I also obtained firsthand experience in the challenges business owners face when arrangements don’t go as planned.

In 2019, I returned to law with a fresh perspective and an enhanced skill set, which have proven exceptionally valuable in serving clients. Upon my return to practice, one of my first clients was a small startup engaged in a months-long contract dispute with a gas production company, after the gas company failed to perform on its obligations. The startup had been relying upon its anticipated business with the larger company, and finances were becoming strained. I took control of the negotiations, and we secured a deal that guaranteed the startup millions of dollars in revenue, including a substantial up-front payment. We not only avoided expensive litigation but also provided the startup with the resources it needed to establish itself and secure additional business opportunities.

My entry into personal injury law arose from my own family’s experience. The driver of a large pickup truck crossed a highway centerline and ran head-on into my wife in her minivan. This provided a direct and thorough understanding of the overwhelming challenges victims face—physical pain, emotional trauma, and the struggle to recover from injuries and rebuild a normal life while dealing with insurance companies focused on their bottom line. Adding insult to injury, the other driver told police at the scene that my wife was partially at fault for the accident. Bringing my unusual skill set to handle the matter, I obtained an outcome rarely seen in personal injury cases: the truck driver’s written apology and sworn admission that he was 100% at fault for the wreck, along with payment of the full limit of his insurance policy. Holding the driver accountable for his negligence, I was able to secure an additional policy limit settlement from our own Underinsured Motorist insurance, ensuring my wife was properly compensated for her injuries.

While past successes cannot indicate future performance, and no attorney can guarantee results in your particular case, my goal is to bring the same level of dedication, advocacy, and commitment to every client I represent: ensuring they are heard, respected, and treated with dignity.

If you’re looking for an attorney who will fight for you with skill, integrity, and relentless dedication, I invite you to contact me.
